Lin Whitehead

Lin is a Solicitor and Head of the Private Client (Wills, Trusts and Probate) Department with 20 years’ experience in the legal profession.

She graduated in 1995 from the University of East Anglia with First Class Double Honours in Law and German and Law and Language and was awarded the Herbert Smith prize for the best degree result. She qualified as a solicitor in 1998 following a training contract with Eversheds (Norwich & Brussels), later working at Mills & Reeve and Kennedys advising on the legal aspects of acquired brain injury and mental incapacity within clinical negligence. Lin is a Full Professional Member of Solicitors for the Elderly and acts as a professional Deputy and Trustee for numerous clients and specialises in Court of Protection matters, in particular Deputyships, Statutory Wills and Personal Injury Trusts following compensation from a personal injury or clinical negligence claim. Lin is frequently instructed by defendants or claimants in ongoing Personal Injury Claims to prepare expert witness statements in relation to Deputyship costs. Lin is one of two Office of the Public Guardian Panel Deputies for Norfolk and Suffolk and is often appointed directly by the Court of Protection to act in complex cases or when an independent person is recommended.

She is an active member of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, RSPB and enjoys tennis and travelling.
