Clapham & Collinge Solicitors are delighted to introduce our three new trainee solicitors for the start of their two year training contract. This year has seen an increase in the number of trainee solicitors taken on which reflects the continued growth and development plan for the firm.
Joe Keeping, Laura Fearnley and Ross Norfolk have all had to complete the challenging Legal Practice Course while gaining experience with the firm as Paralegals over the last 12months.
Joe joined our Business Support Team as a paralegal in October 2014, having graduated in July 2014 from the University of East Anglia with First Class Honours in his Law Degree. Joe will start his first seat in Family Law.
Laura, graduated with a 2:1 in Law from the University of East Anglia in 2014 will be taking her first seat in Corporate Commercial. Laura joined Clapham & Collinge in February 2015, working as a paralegal in the Business Support Team.
Ross graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2013 with a 2:1 Law Degree, before travelling and spending time in New Zealand. He then continued his legal education at BPP Cambridge by undertaking the Legal Practice Course in 2015, obtaining a distinction. Ross will take his first seat in our Conveyancing Department.
All trainees work under direct supervision of experienced solicitors and must demonstrate competence over the 2 year period leading to qualification in 2018.
Neale Grearson commented on the new positions 'we are delighted for Joe, Laura and Ross that they are now stepping up to the next stage in their legal careers. Our trainee solicitor programme is very important to us as part of our long term expansion and development of the firm. All three have already shown great commitment, hard work and talent with the finishing post of qualifying as a solicitor now in sight.'
