We regularly hold free dementia awareness sessions in conjunction with Dementia Friends – an initiative lead by the Alzheimer's Society to help raise awareness of dementia, aiming to make everyday life better for people with dementia by changing the way the nation thinks, talks and acts.
Over the last 12 months, Clapham & Collinge has held 8 dementia awareness sessions, creating over 60 new dementia friends in Norfolk. Lin Whitehead is a Partner and Head of Private Client Department at Clapham & Collinge. ''With one of the largest private client departments in Norfolk specialising in advising elderly clients, all of our lawyers are Dementia Friends and we are proud to be a dementia friendly business. Many of our existing clients either have dementia or are coping with caring for a spouse or family member who has the condition, so our lawyers are keen to do what they can having seen first-hand the affect this condition has on families who care for those diagnosed with dementia.''
Our next dementia awareness session is taking place on Wednesday 16th September at St Catherine's House, All Saints Green, Norwich NR1 3GA from 6.00pm - 7.00pm (Refreshments from 5.30pm).
