Fraud & Scam Awareness Workshop
Home Instead Senior Care Norwich, in conjunction with Clapham and Collinge Solicitors are holding a free Scam Awareness Workshop for older people, family members, carers and people throughout the community, who may be vulnerable themselves, or know people who may be a target for scammers.
Home is where an older person should feel the safest. Scammers, however, have found a way to invade privacy and security by targeting older people through their post, telephone and online activities. Citizens Advice research shows that almost three-quarters (72%) of people surveyed had been targeted by scammers over a two year period. Over a third, had been targeted five or more times.
The growing incidents of scams involving older people are putting many at risk, threatening to strip them of their assets, their confidence and their safety.
Home Instead Senior Care Norwich want to do everything they can to highlight these distressing and devastating crimes and where possible, prevent them from occurring. Come along to this free-to-attend workshop to find out more about the dangers of scams and how to avoid them. Each attendee will receive a free Senior Fraud Protection Toolkit.
